Prevest Crysta Restorative II GIC is a high-quality glass ionomer cement (Type II) used for direct dental restorations. It is a self-curing material formulated with fine particles to deliver excellent aesthetics, strong adhesion, and long-lasting performance. The cement chemically bonds to enamel and dentin, eliminating the need for additional bonding agents and simplifying clinical procedures.
Key Features
This restorative material offers strong adhesion to tooth structure along with high compressive strength, making it suitable for both anterior and selected posterior restorations. It is radiopaque for easy detection on X-rays and releases fluoride over time, helping prevent secondary caries. The fine particle composition ensures smooth finishing and good polishability.
Applications
Crysta Restorative II is widely used for Class III and Class V restorations, small Class I cavities, and restorations in primary teeth. It is also suitable for core build-ups, cervical lesions, fissure sealing, and fillings prior to crown preparation.
Advantages
The material provides excellent marginal sealing, low solubility, and biocompatibility, ensuring patient safety and restoration longevity. It does not require etching or bonding and offers easy handling with a powder-liquid system, allowing clinicians to control consistency and working time. Its fluoride release and chemical bonding make it a reliable and cost-effective choice for everyday restorative dentistry.
