Ammdent D-Pulp is a specialised devitalising paste designed to facilitate the devitalisation of dental pulp in dental procedures. Its formulation boasts a thick paste consistency, ensuring ease of application and effectiveness during treatment. The primary active ingredient in Ammdent D-Pulp is Paraformaldehyde, strategically included to offer a controlled release upon application, thus ensuring precise and efficient treatment outcomes.
Indicated primarily for the devitalisation of dental pulp, Ammdent D-Pulp proves particularly beneficial in cases where pulp exposure occurs due to the removal of carious dentine. It serves as a preparatory step for further treatment, such as canal filling, following pulp extirpation. The application process involves applying a small pellet of approximately 10mg of paste directly onto the exposed pulp post-dentine removal. The treated area is then sealed with cement and left undisturbed for a period of 7 to 10 days before further intervention, if necessary. Notably, Ammdent D-Pulp is intended for use up to two times, adhering strictly to the specified dosage regimen for the treatment of a single tooth.
However, caution must be exercised post-application, as proper sealing of the cavity with cement is imperative to prevent any leaching of the product.
